Copenhagen in December

Talented photographer and videographer - Esben Zøllner Olesen - has produced this gorgeous time-lapse video of Copenhagen in December. He manages to capture the beauty of this city in the snow and in the lead up to Christmas. It makes me sad and nostalgic even though I haven't left yet - I must remember to get out and appreciate this great city more often.

New Job

At the beginning of this year, the old saying "when you stop looking things will come to you" rang true for me. After two years of looking for a job, I had decided that enough was enough. I stopped looking, put the kibosh on applications and became content with concentrating on my Masters and preparing to go home at the end of the year.

Little did I know that an application I sent in over a year ago would be resurrected and I would be offered a job. Since I have now signed a contract I can confirm that once again I am gainfully employed - and in a Communications management role no less!

2013 is going to be a busy year!

New Year's Resolutions

Happy New Year Everyone!

I hope you all had a fantastic evening of celebrations and debauchery and that you are now beginning to settle into 2013.

One thing I love about New Years is making resolutions - something I have always done with great enthusiasm. When I was 12, I vowed to stop drinking Coca Cola, and I did for five years. I have also resolved to learn how to sew and to take singing lessons, both of which I have ticked off my bucket list.

I think I like resolutions because I am a goal orientated person and I like the thought of making an open declaration - as if saying it in front of friends holds you more accountable (even though I a sure no one would remember the next day).

But this year my resolution is a very simple one - to just enjoy the year. To take every experience as it comes, to not stress about things I can't control, to say 'yes' more and deal with the consequences later.

What is your New Year's Resolution?
